Our client, a marquee technology-focused boutique investment bank has retained Solutus Legal Search on an exclusive basis to assist with their search for a Corporate Counsel to join its legal team.  Reporting to the General Counsel, the attorney in this role will work on a broad range of legal matters and play a key role in supporting the organization’s business and legal operations.  The position is in San Francisco and requires 3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the General Counsel in all aspects of legal practice, including commercial agreements, litigation, privacy and data protection, and intellectual property matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts.
• Provide legal guidance on corporate and business strategy, employee matters, and litigation risk.
• Assist with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Track and manage litigation matters and coordinate with outside counsel as necessary.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates.
• Manage large-scale legal and operational long-term projects.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
• A minimum of 2+ years of legal practice in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proven track record as a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
• A collaborative and respectful attitude towards colleagues and a drive to succeed.
